How I reversed perimenopause…
For most women, going into the menopause in their 30’s and 40’s is not normal. It’s becoming more and more normal in our society but it’s not nature’s way, but instead, our body’s reaction to our unnatural/toxic society, lifestyles, thoughts, foods, cosmetics, and environments.
For most women menopause would normally be happening in their 50’s, 60’s and even 70’s! And I am seeing this now changing more with the clients I’ve been working with because they are also reversing not only perimenopause, but also full menopause. Where they thought they were already out the ‘other side’ and their periods have started again and even (not clients of mine YET, but I’ve read several accounts of this) where some have gone on to have children after this! You see, if the body has reacted to suboptimal fuels & high toxicity, by going into early menopause it can also un-react if given the right fuels and reduced toxins.
Toxins in our environment, foods, cosmetics etc have a HUGE impact on hormonal health. So, even if you are not of a menopausal age reducing these greatly will almost always improve hormonal health. By this I mean reducing & or changing perfumes, air-fresheners, washing powders, cleaners, cosmetics and junk foods.
By junk foods I don’t just mean the processed kind we find everywhere now, I think everyone knows these are not good for them and their hormones, especially if they spike blood sugars &/or have seeds oils and other crap in them. I also mean soya, gluten, wheat, in fact pretty much all standard carbohydrates, most sugars (yes including bananas etc) and a diet very high in oxalates. These are not natural foods for us to eat, especially if not from your part of the world and if eaten all year around. They screw with our hormones; in fact, they screw with most systems of the body and mind and are not how we women as we age thrive and don’t have a really screwy and intense menopause no matter when it comes.
And of course our thoughts have one of the biggest impacts on our hormones. Overwhelm, anxiety, depression etc hinder health and really upset our endocrine system. Working to make friends with our thoughts helps the hormones huge amounts. This also goes for making sure we regulate our nervous system as much as possible so our body does not constantly feel under attack and draws resources from places like the endocrine system.
Two years ago, I started perimenopause, confirmed by blood tests and the fact I wanted to throttle people regularly and the hot sweats were more like steamy waterfalls! I was shocked by the intensity of it. But because I was already on my animal-based way I just upped the ante and started having animal proteins and fats with every meal. Within 3 months all signs of perimenopause had gone and bloods later confirmed the same.
I now recommend plenty of nervous system work, making friends with their thoughts, reduce toxins and high animal fats and proteins, low carbs and oxalates and no soya or gluten to all for my clients coming to me about their hormones and the shifts in their concerns are fast and fabulous.
Perimenopause, menopause, PMS, fertility issues and even endometriosis are all being positively impacted or reversed completely by this same approach in many of my clients. Many coming off long-term meds (with the guidance of their Doc) for these things and feeling great for it!
Basically the more natural we are the happier & healthier we become!
